🤓 Who can use Boarding Glasses?
Our glasses are suitable for anyone suffering from motion sickness, regardless of age. There are no contraindications or side effects to using Boarding Glasses .
🤢 Where does motion sickness come from?
Kinetosis, commonly known as motion sickness, seasickness or airsickness, is caused by a sensory mismatch between the eyes and the inner ears. In a moving vehicle, vision is confined: the eyes do not detect movement. But the inner ears perceive all the motion. This is a crisis situation that the brain will try to resolve by any means necessary, generating the well-known symptoms of dizziness, cold sweats, nausea, etc.
🧐 How do your motion sickness glasses work?
Our glasses are based on patented Boarding Ring® technology, which utilizes our signature blue liquid. When subjected to the vehicle's movements, the liquid provides the eye with motion information, eliminating the source of motion sickness. Our glasses create an artificial inertial horizon in the peripheral visual field, thereby resynchronizing vision and the inner ear's vestibular system.
⏱️ How long do I need to wear boarding glasses?
Think of Boarding Glasses as a visual crutch: use them as long as you need them. We recommend wearing them at the first sign of motion sickness and removing them once you feel better. On average, users wear their glasses for about fifteen minutes, but this is a matter of feeling , not a matter of timing. The glasses can be worn preventively by those who are more susceptible, and for as long as desired.
🤔 Which model should I choose?
For adults and children aged 9 and over, choose classic or polarized Boarding Glasses.
For children between 0 and 9 years old, choose the Ringo model.
👶 Are these glasses suitable for children?
Yes, we offer a specific model called Ringo, suitable for children from 0 to 9 years old. Thanks to its adjustable headband, Ringo adapts to all head sizes.
Beyond simply being a matter of size, the geometry of these glasses was specifically designed for the visual field of young children. Before the age of 9, children's peripheral vision is not yet fully developed: it is narrower than that of adults. Therefore, we projected the side rings of Ringo forward to ensure they are easily visible to younger children.
😕 What if it doesn't work for me?
At Boarding Ring , we are committed to improving your passenger experience, and this is true for 94% of our users. Occasionally, our glasses may have no effect on some individuals, and we are not able to explain why. If this is the case for you despite following the Boarding Glasses usage instructions, we invite you to complete this questionnaire in French or this questionnaire in English . Once you receive our response, you can follow the return procedure below.
🔙 What is your return policy?
For orders placed on our website, you may request a return within thirty (30) days of receiving your order. 🌍 Do you offer international delivery?
Yes, we ship worldwide. If your country is not listed among the shipping options when you place your order, it means it is not eligible for delivery.
📞 How can I contact customer service?
You can contact us by email at glasses@boardingring.com or by phone at +33624313569 . We are committed to answering all your questions as quickly as possible.

We take the utmost care in ensuring the quality of our products. That's why our glasses come with a 2-year warranty (plus an additional year when you register here). If you receive a defective or damaged item, please contact us to discuss exchange or refund options.
👓 What if I already wear prescription glasses?
We designed Boarding Glasses wide enough to fit over most prescription glasses. If your frames don't, remove them while your motion sickness is being treated (a few minutes) and then put them back on once you're feeling better. Perfect vision is not required to use Boarding Glasses .
Regarding Ringo , this model is not compatible with wearing prescription glasses. Therefore, it is necessary to remove them to use Ringo .
😎 Is the solar model just as effective?
As long as the light conditions warrant wearing sunglasses, the polarized model will be just as effective as the classic model. Polarized Boarding Glasses feature category 3, UV400 sun filters with a polarized coating, making them particularly suitable for sailing.
📖 Can I read in the car with these glasses?
If you only experience motion sickness when looking at a screen or a book, Boarding Glasses will allow you to entertain yourself or work without nausea: wear the glasses from the start of your activity and throughout that activity.
🎢 Are these glasses effective on amusement rides?
If the symptoms are caused solely by the movement of the ride, the Boarding Glasses should be just as effective as in any other vehicle.
😵 Are these glasses effective against vertigo?
Dizziness can have very diverse causes. Studies are underway to evaluate this use case, notably at the Brest University Hospital. We currently lack sufficient data to claim efficacy in this type of situation. Discuss this first with your ENT specialist and contact our team at contact@boardingring.com if you wish to participate in these studies.
🎮 Are these glasses effective against simulator sickness (video games, movies on the big screen, etc.)?
Simulator sickness is caused by exposure to dynamic images. We don't have enough data to claim effectiveness in this type of situation. Most people using the glasses in this use case have reported an improved experience. Contact our team at contact@boardingring.com if you would like to test the glasses for this application.
For the sickness of virtual, mixed or augmented reality (VR sickness or motion sickness) we invite you to discover our Seenetic VR device.
🚘 Can I drive with these glasses?
We advise against wearing our glasses while driving, due to the resulting reduction in field of vision.
⚠️ How do these differ from other motion sickness glasses sold online?
Boarding Glasses and Ringo are the only official motion sickness glasses developed through research by Boarding Ring. They have been tested, patented, and certified according to ISO and ANSI standards, and their safety is guaranteed. Other glasses are poor quality illegal counterfeits, with no guarantee of effectiveness or safety.
🏭 Where are your glasses made?
Boarding Glasses : this model is injected in China and assembled in Var (France).
Ringo : this model is injected in Isère (France) and assembled in Var (France).
💧 What is this blue liquid in the glasses ?
The blue liquid contained in Boarding Glasses is the active ingredient in our glasses. Its function is to make the movements and accelerations of the vehicle in which you are traveling visible, obeying the principles of classical mechanics. This liquid is a food-grade colored oil used in the food industry. It is safe in case of direct contact or ingestion.
🔬 What scientific evidence do you have?
Since the beginning of the Boarding Ring adventure, we have been committed to working closely with the world of academic research to explore strategies for combating motion sickness.
Even before the company was established, a first doctoral thesis in pharmacy (L. Jeannin, 2012, Contribution of Boarding Ring in the treatment of motion sickness ) showed a significant beneficial contribution of Boarding Glasses to avoid motion sickness.
Several scientific studies conducted within the JAP2S laboratory of the University of Toulon have highlighted the validity of the anti-motion sickness technology developed by Boarding Ring : C. de Thierry de Faletans (2024) Effects of dynamic visual feedback system on seasickness, Applied Ergonomics, 2024 and C. de Thierry de Faletans (2024) Seasickness and partial peripheral vision obstruction with versus without an artificial horizon, Displays ).
A doctoral thesis in clinical research (C. de Thierry de Faletans, 2025, Contribution to the understanding of nausea: instantaneous effects of sensory feedback ) was also able to demonstrate the performance of our artificial horizon approach.
Finally, a clinical study is underway at the Brest University Hospital under the supervision of Professor Leclère.
